You guys hear me talk about how much fun wearing hair can be all the time (it is!). Yep, with Freetress Mizzy on my head, this is another post about just that!
The vast majority of my hair probably looks identical to the untrained eye, but it’s so hard to stop myself when it comes to realistic browns (you’ve seen the proof on my kitchen table). I did try blonde once, so that was a departure (plus, I about cried when so many of you said you preferred it over my God-given hair color), but usually I stick with my tried-and-true.
I saw this gorgeous black/magenta combo circling The Internets a few months ago, but this color was sold out just about everywhere. I happened to have a $10 credit to eBay that they randomly emailed me, so I found it on there and was able to snag this for $32. I don’t expect a $32 wig to last a lifetime, but using my guide to making synthetics last, we can definitely stretch out those dollars!
Freetress Mizzy is a long, lace front wig with curls. In fact, in the picture, there’s about 5″ chopped off. Freetress definitely doesn’t skimp on the length! This color is SOHWINE.
Much like with the Freetress Julia I tried a few months ago, most of the Freetress Mizzy colors are geared towards those with darker skin tones. They take rooting to the extreme, and the lace is on the dark side.
For me, this couldn’t be an everyday wig unless she had some major customization done, but that’s ok. I like it just for fun.
And no surprise, my husband LOVES this. The blonde look that he originally salivated over has all but been forgotten with the introduction of my “purple hair”.
In fact, this is the pic that pops up on his phone when I call:
I swear, he’d be 100% ok with me wearing this every day.
I probably could, too, if the colors matched my skin tone better. Freetress caps are SUPER comfy (the lace is a little itchy, though).
To pull off this color, I have to wear a ton more makeup. You can probably tell around my eyes…lots and lots of eyeliner and dark gray eyeshadow. Which, of course, my husband also drools over.
We spend so much time trying to find THE perfect color in this whole hair-wearing thing, that sometimes it’s fun just to say “screw it” and get something fun.
What fun styles do YOU have your eye on?
